Praise Singers’ 32nd anniversary

The Shady Grove Praise Singers will celebrate their 32nd anniversary with a special program Sunday, June 5th at 4:00 p.m..

The praise service will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be led by the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Unity Praise Team. The choir emcee will be Minister Katina Posey. Other area choirs will also be on the program.

The public is cordially invited to attend.

Pastor’s anniversary

The Shady Grove Baptist Church family will observe the fifth pastoral anniversary of Rev. Lee Byers, Jr. and First Lady Esther Byers with a banquet on Saturday, March 12, and special services on Sunday, March 13.

The Pastor and First Lady will be honored with an anniversary banquet March 12 at Granard Middle School Cafeteria from 5:30-9:30 p.m. The tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from members of the Banquet Committee. Elnora Littlejohn and Julitan Foster are chairpersons.

The Anniversary observance will continue Sunday March 13 at the 11:00 morning worship service. The guest speaker will be Minister Reggie Littlejohn, associate ,inister of Concord Baptist Church. All choirs of the Shady Grove Music Ministry will sing for this service.

The anniversary observance will conclude an afternoon program at 3. The guest speaker will be the Rev. C. A. Wallace, pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He will be accompanied by his choirs and congregation.

The public is cordially invited to attend.

The Rev. Don Manning, Pastor of Hardy Chapel Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was the guest speaker as the Shady Grove Gospel Choir celebrated its 40th anniversary recently.

All-Male Choir anniversary

ALL MALE CHOIR ANN SEPT 19 2010 good

The Shady Grove All-Male Choir celebrated its first anniversary Sunday afternoon, September 19 at 3:00 p.m.  The Choir’s theme and first song was, "Let it be Real" led by Pastor Lee Byers Jr. "I Came to Jesus," led by Bro. Lorenzo Houey. 

Choir members included Jay Thompson, James Pearson, Fred Dover, Lorenzo Houey, Eddie Hollis, Darrett Lattimore, John Greene, Jermaine Greene, James Byers, and Pastor Lee Byers Jr. 

Male Choir celebration

The Shady Grove Baptist Church All-Male Choir will have their first celebration with a special service on Sunday September 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
The program theme is: “Let it be Real”!

All-Male Choirs and Hymn Choirs from North Carolina and South Carolina will be on program.  Everyone is cordially invited to come and enjoy an afternoon of gospel singing.

The praise service will begin at 3:30 and will be led by “Blessed Beyond Measure” of Gaffney. The choir emcee will be Minister Mae Cureton, associate minister at First Baptist Church of Earl. Other area choirs will also perform on the program.
